Labradorite was found in Labrador Canada in 1770 and named after the location. It is a feldspar mineral with the body color ranging from palest grey to black.
Labradorite has a luminous iridescent sheen that can range in color from hot pink to orangey pink to greenish, to golden, to blues or mixes of those colors depending on how the light hits it.
